The features and procedure of localization of oil and oil products spill on the territory are considered. An algorithm for calculating the time indicators of spill localization for the head of the liquidation of a fraught situation is proposed. Within the framework of the algorithm, the prediction of oil spill zones is given taking into account the characteristics of the terrain
